Meet the Candidates!
Candidates in are listed in alphabetical order by last name. Demographics are self-reported and are available to weigh in your decisions as you see fit. There are no demographic requirements imposed by the reorganization rules at our county level.

Female
Bea Babbitt
I have supported the efforts of the El Paso County Democratic Party since I moved here in 2014. I am a long-time precinct organizer, House District 20 Chair, County Executive Committee member and have served as county platform committee chair. I have worked with the precinct organizers in my house district to increase voter turnout and support our Democratic candidates. I have spent my career developing leadership talent and so will be supporting the next generation of Democratic leaders in HD20 while continuing to be a voice in northern El Paso County for democratic values.

African American, Female
Lynne Brown
It's been a little over two years since I was first appointed, then elected, as Treasurer. During that time, I have improved our financial record-keeping and reporting, so that members of the County Executive and Central Committees have a better understanding of our financial position and the impact of our decisions on our finances. During the next two years I look forward to continuing that work.

Female, Age 35 or younger
Tallon Clancy
I am eager to be more involved in our local party to ensure we make the democratic process more accessible, especially for younger folks, working families and people who are new to politics.

Female
Judith Daley
I have been an active volunteer with the El Paso County Party for the past 6 years, following a long lifetime of campaign and party work in Illinois, Alaska and Denver. I currently serve as co-coordinator for volunteers for the Party, a richly rewarding job I have enjoyed for the past 4 years. I am now vice-chair of HD 18 and had the privilege of working closely with Marc Snyder's campaign to ensure his re-election. Our Precinct Organizers came through in a big way during the last election cycle and I want the opportunity to find PO's for our "orphan" precincts. I would appreciate your vote and look forward to working with our incredible HD 18 folks in the future, whether in office or not.

Person w/Disabilities, Male, Age 35 or younger
Arik Dougherty
I am a former candidate for the very red Senate District 9. My campaign taught me one very important lesson. If we want to bring progress to the county, we need to focus on the future, the next generation, and get them to be politically active. I have a plan to implement a new outreach program that will target high school and college students, bring them into the party, get them involved, and build the future of the Democratic party here in El Paso County.

Female
Lynn M Goodwin
As a long time progressive activist, I have worked for the Democratic values of inclusivity, transparency, economic equity and for environmental sanity. I am currently serving as an appointed, at-large member of the executive committee as well as on the State Central Committee. I am dedicated to turning El Paso County Blue and have 6 years experience helping to build up our party with the dynamic leadership of chairs Johnson and Mikos. My grass roots efforts include recruiting and training Precinct Organizers, expanding voter outreach through booths, marches, voter registration and social events. As the editor of the Blast, I have aimed to build community by engaging, informing Dems while supporting the work of the many progressive groups. As an enthusiastic volunteer I have walked, knocked, called and texted and supported all our candidates, national and local and am willing to jump in to help where needed.. My work as a Precinct Organizer is all about activating my neighborhood and Getting Out the Vote! Looking forward to the next phase of party building!

Veteran, Female
Judi Ingelido
HD 16 was redrawn to include several precincts from HD18 of which I was Chair for several years. I have enjoyed getting to know the Precinct Organizers of HD16 and working with them, and Stephanie Vigil and her campaign to get her elected. I want to continue to organize HD 16 and assure Stephanie is re-elected as our State Representative. I am someone who likes the "grassroots work" of getting to know Dems and other voters in the precincts/House District. Currently, I am a co-PO for my precinct, and serve on the County Executive Committee, the State Executive Committee, and the State Central Committee. I have the time, energy, experience, and commitment to fulfill the responsibilities of House District Chair!
