Last Date to Affiliate for Caucus

February 7, 2022 is the last day to affiliate as a Democratic and be eligible to participate in caucus. You must be a registered Democrat to participate in the Democratic caucuses.

All Democratic caucuses in El Paso County will be held on March 5, 2022 at 2 PM with a 1 PM check-in.

Currently planned to be a hybrid of in-person and virtual meetings.

A primary ballot will be mailed by the El Paso County Clerk & Recorders Office to all active registered voters starting June 6, 2022.

My name is Dr. Detra Duncan and I am running for Mayor of Fountain, CO. I have dedicated my career to making the city safe, healthier, and mentoring to the youth - Fountain's future. As a small business owner, I am facing and experiencing many challenges we face as a city today. I have a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration and a Ph.D. in Organizational Management. I have the skills and background needed in the times we are living in. I am a proven leader in the community in which I live and serve. I am a mentor to our Youth. I am dedicated to small businesses and keeping them open and thriving in our community. Affordable housing should be available to everyone and I am committed to making that happen. I bring new leadership to solve Fountain's growth problems and modernize the city to keep our youth at home. I bring a sense of urgency and fresh ideas for the challenges we face.
