Results Announced
Thursday, April 9, 2020
You all have likely been following along with the news of what's going on in the state legislature in reaction to coronavirus (COVID-19). The law and rules at the time of the COVID-19 outbreak did not allow dates to be changed or remote or electronic meetings or voting. Therefore, we pursued emergency legislation, emergency executive orders and emergency rules to allow us to make the necessary changes to protect public health and safety, while also ensuring that voters can still exercise their right to vote. That bill has passed through the legislature, both house and senate and has been signed by the Governor. Our assembly and convention will be remote via webinar that is accessible by phone and computer. Accommodations will be made for those who do not have access to a computer.
Our focus is on protecting public health and safety, while ensuring the wheels of democracy continue to move forward fairly.
