Rapid Response Training- COS
Get trained to respond to ICE activity in the Pikes Peak region. We have seen an increase in ICE activity over the last few months in the Colorado Springs area and want to ensure that our local network is prepared to respond! We train allies to ensure that the rights of targeted communities are respected, document ICE activities, and support families in determining the right course of action during and after ICE encounters.
The training will be hosted at Casa Verde Community housing (1355 Lindenwood Grove) in the Common House (dark green house in the center of the community). Please park on the street.
The Rapid Response Network is a state-wide network that manages a 24-hr hotline to track, verify, and document abuses in ICE raids in immigrant communities across Colorado. We encourage the immigrant community to call the Rapid Response Hotline so that trained volunteers can respond, confirm, document and share the most accurate information about what’s happening. This is a way to both show support for immigrant communities locally and also ensure that we are stopping the spread of misinformation that creates heightened fear.
