Activist Support Circle

Hosted by Stephanie Vigil Wednesday at 7 PM – 8:30 PM Pikes Peak Library District - East Library 5550 N Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918

Being politically active is draining. Fighting for greater justice and equality on any front is draining. Let's get together and talk about what we can do for ourselves and each other to stay healthy and not get burnt out.

This will be a compassionate and judgment-free space, coloring/art supplies, herbal tea, and a treat will be provided, and conversation is guided, but open-ended. Hope to see you there!

(We will be in room F1 on the first floor of the East Library, which is just past the movies and music, to the left.)

Energy Vision Rally for our Future & Open House

Hosted by 350 Colorado Springs and 4 others Thursday at 5:30 PM – 8 PM Leon Young Service Center, 1521  Hancock Expressway, 80903

The time is now to make your voice hear on Colorado Springs' energy future!!

As the industry transforms, we are on the brink of creating a new energy landscape with the Electric Integrated Resource Plan. As part of this plan, Colorado Springs Utilities is hosting an open house to invite the public to help shape the future of energy in the Pikes Peak region. We need you, our community to stand up for a just and equitable transition to a clean energy future.

Join us at 5:30pm for a Rally for our Future and pizza, then attend the Energy Vision Open House with the Beyond Coal coalition team and submit public comment about what you - the customers of CSU and owners of your municipally owned utility company want to see for the future of energy here in Colorado Springs.

It is vital that we stand up for what we know must happen. We must decommission the Martin Drake Coal Plant as quickly as possible and transition to clean renewable energy. Come make your voice heard and stand with us for a fossil free future!

Can't make it? We'll miss you but you can still make your voice heard! Email dgrossman@csu.org of the Utilities Policy Advisory Committee with your energy vision.
